Chef Wanted – Full-Time at Hótel Dyrhólaey
Join our team at Hótel Dyrhólaey, a 150-room hotel located in the stunning countryside of South Iceland. We’re looking for a skilled chef with a positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility, who’s passionate about quality food and wants to help build a positive and professional kitchen team.
About the role:
- Start Date: May 2026
- Contract: Full-time for 2-3 months
- Shifts: 2-2-3 rotation
- Cuisine: Traditional Icelandic cuisine
- Guests: Dinner served to hotel guests and lunch for hotel staff daily
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has completed chef training or culinary school
- Has at least 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen (not fast food)
- Works well under pressure and as part of a team
- Takes responsibility and has a positive attitude
- Is legally allowed to work in Iceland
- Can communicate easily in English
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality meals
- Maintain hygiene standards & follow food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and help build a motivating work environment
- Manage stock and reduce food waste
